LUNG & A HALF FULL THEATRE is a theatre company founded by
George Attwill, based in the south of England!
We make theatre which is irreverent, cheeky, magical, has plenty of panache, & always a lot of heart!
What we're about
We want to give the audience the best LIVE experience possible using whatever tools we have in our theatrical box of tricks, be that storytelling, music, lighting, puppetry, the list goes on.
Entertainment and the popular is not something that should be discredited artistically.
The dirt is just as important as the heavens, it is where we grow food.
We believe that all LIVE
theatre is participatory!
In our performances your participation begins with an invitation to take your seats. You are our guests at this gathering, and we want you to feel welcome.
On some occasions we may invite you to participate more directly with what is going on onstage. This is always optional of course, and if you’re perfectly happy to just sit and watch – then be our guest.
George Attwill
George is an Actor, Director, Theatre Maker, Storyteller, Facilitator, and Musician based between the New Forest and Brighton and working internationally.
He makes work which is irreverent, has a lot of heart, and is rooted in Myth making, folk culture, and Bardic storytelling. He is the artistic director of Lung and a Half Full Theatre.
George is passionate about co-creating unique audience experiences with, for and by communities and believes that the beauty of live performance is that it is always on some level participatory.
Outside and around theatre his interests include travel, good food, music, Pro-Wrestling, and video games.
